Oktoberfest & Pumpkins Beers

Fox River Brewing: Foxtoberfest

Traditionally Oktoberfest beers were brewed in late winter / early spring and aged through the summer until the harvest was complete. At this time the beer was removed from the caves where it was aged and
the fall festival was underway. Our Foxtoberfest is a copper / amber color that is medium bodied and rich. The nose has equal amounts of malt aroma and hops.
The taste is full of a ready sweet maltiness and finishes with a slightly grassy hop flavor. The result is a balanced malty beer that finishes crisp and clean.
Alcohol levels are mid to high at 6.2% abv. Prost!

Breckenridge: Oktoberfest

Oktoberfest is an elegant German Amber Lager that’s true to style and exceptionally smooth. Bready, toasty aromas and flavors mingle with light malty sweetness. Soft mouthfeel and a touch of hops combine to offer a clean, dry finish.

Breckenridge: Autumn Ale

Our fall seasonal hit combines the malty goodness of a German lager with the clean crispness of an American ale. Brewed with Munich malts and a delicate blend of Bavarian hops, it’s full-bodied with a nutty-sweet middle, a warming alcohol level and notes of toasted grain. A pre-winter winner.

Shiner: Oktoberfest

Just like the world’s largest beer festival, our little brewrey has Bavarian roots and a long tradition of honoring tradition. Which is why we made this märzen-style with German-grown Hallertau tradition. If that doesn’t make you polka dance for joy, we don’t know what will.

Goose Island: Oktoberfest

Goose Oktoberfest is brimming with notes of toasted malt and freshly baked rye bread. This light-bodied German lager is clean and crisp with a fine noble hop character and mild earthy bitterness that is the hallmark of Hallertau hops. Raise a few steins of Goose Oktoberfest this fall and celebrate this time-honored tradition. Prost!

Spaten: Oktoberfest

Our Oktoberfest Beer, created in 1872, is the world’s first Oktoberfest (Ur-Maerzen) beer, brewed for the greatest folk festival in the world. No Oktoberfest may begin until the Mayor of Munich taps the first keg of Spaten Oktoberfestbier. Amber in color. This medium bodied beer has achieved its impeccable taste by balancing the roasted malt flavor with the perfect amount of hops. Having a rich textured palate with an underlying sweetness true to tradition.

Keweenaw: Early Autumn Ale

Crystal carmel, aromtic malts, two types of hops.

Stone Arch: Stonetoberfest

More than a traditional marzen, Stonetoberfest is brewed with classic German hops and then lagered to perfection. It has all the great malty flavors of an amazing Oktoberfest with the crisp and clean finish of a lager.

Bell’s: Best Brown Ale

A smooth, toasty brown ale, Best Brown Ale is a mainstay in our fall & winter lineup. With hints of caramel and cocoa, the malt body has the depth to stand up to cool weather, but does not come across as heavy. This balancing act is aided by the generous use of American hops.

Sam Adams: Oktoberfest

Oktoberfest is a brief moment of fall beer drinking beauty. The world’s biggest fest started in Munich, Germany in 1810 to celebrate the marriage of the crown prince of Bavaria to Princess Therese von Sachsen-Hildburghausen. The party was so off-the-chain it became an annual 16 day festival from Mid-September to Early October. It’s a time celebrate beer for beer’s sake, with food and friends to kick off cooler weather.
